Curiosity
Connection
Contentment
Confidence
When we slow down enough to listen in, we can connect to ourselves; our own body and mind. And when we start to feel a sense of safety there, we feel more comfortable in our own skin and we desire and feel safe to connect to others. These connections help us to feel more content; more fulfilled and more whole. When we arrive here, we gain confidence and curiosity in the world, and this is ultimately what heals our fears, anger ,and depression…our traumas.
My approach
While in session with me you can expect a holistic mind-body-relational experience.
I serve (adult) individuals, couples and communities.
First and foremost, the relationship between you and I is paramount. My goal is to bring the utmost feeling of safety and care to each and every one of my clients. But ultimately you decide if we are a good fit. Not every therapist is a good fit for each client.
Each session includes a mix of evidence-based approaches including somatic experiencing (SE), inner child and IFS (internal family systems) work. SE combines felt sense, emotional processing, belief and meaning, visualization, mindful movement and somatic touch. I always provide self-regulation and other coping tools to take with you out of the therapy room and into your life. We will craft a client-centered plan together - one that suits you best and that you feel most comfortable with.
My areas of focus are: Trauma (small t to big T, current or historical, including Intergenerational Trauma, PTSD & CPTSD), Anxiety, Global Threat Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, and challenges with ADHD symptoms & behaviors.
I also offer parenting support and guidance from an attachment-based lens and emotion-regulation based perspective.
Trauma repair encompasses physical and emotional relief from chronic symptomology arising from “stuck” survival mechanisms of fight, flight and freeze. Trauma resolution also encourages the reinstatement of current or lost cultural spiritual beliefs and practices.
