Somatic-Based Therapy

Woven into the work I do is the wisdom of trauma sensitivity. We have no idea what people’s stories are. We have no idea what people have been through so it’s very important that I enter into every therapeutic relationship with the utmost respect, care, and sense of safety.

Although I offer counselling and support to anyone that requests it and for a variety of presenting challenges and crises, my specialty and my passion is in the areas of trauma (small t to big T), attachment & relationships, anxiety, depression, ADHD & grief/loss.

My counselling sessions include a mix of talk therapy, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, breathwork, and/or trauma-informed yoga.

Wellness Workshops & Presentations

I am passionate about health and wellness. My own dedication to a health and wellness practice is what makes me a better parent, partner, friend, and professional. It is what makes me a better human being.

I have facilitated a variety of wellness support and psychoeducation groups and workshops in my work. I have also done several presentations on a variety of wellness topics throughout the province. I would be happy to collaborate with your organization or team on what you are needing in order to support and promote health and wellness.

Parenting Support

First and foremost, I am a Mother. This role is one I take seriously above all others because it is a role of deeper meaning than anything else I do. It is a role and responsibility that I understand impacts generations ahead of me. I am very passionate about connecting and supporting other parents and helping them navigate this very sacred, yet challenging role.

In my parenting sessions, I offer tailored support and strategies based on the unique needs of the family; from birth to teen and young adult; from co-parenting together or apart - to shared parenting and single parenting. All parenting strategies are attachment-based.

Reiki

The power of energy work is becoming omnipresent in our modern-day scientific discoveries and research. Modern medical models are now incorporating healing energy body work into their systems and services.

As a L2 trained Usui Reiki Practitioner, I believe energy work is foundational to the mind-body, trauma-sensitive work that I offer. I also believe in the wisdom of the subtle body and the power of human touch to heal. I look forward to offering Reiki to those who are open to receive.
